We are seeking a Senior Upstream Bioprocess Scientist with expertise in mammalian cell culture to lead the design, execution, and analysis of advanced experiments. This role requires extensive experience with CHO cells, bioreactors, and upstream processing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead upstream process development projects, focusing on mammalian cell culture systems (e.g., CHO cells).
  • Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level staff, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize and scale-up bioreactor processes for protein production.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to strategic improvements in upstream technologies.
  • Effectively communicate project updates, results, and recommendations through reports and presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Expertise in mammalian cell culture, with a strong focus on CHO cell lines.
  • Proficiency in bioreactor operation, process optimization, and analytical methods for protein characterization.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver impactful results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, innovation mindset, and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
  • PhD with 5+ years, Master’s with 7+ years, or Bachelor’s with 10+ years of industry experience in upstream process development using mammalian cell cultures.
