We are seeking a Process Safety Lead to join a leading manufacturing organisation in Cork. This is a newly created role within the EHS function, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen process safety capability across a complex chemical manufacturing environment while supporting operational excellence, risk reduction and future site growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process safety activities associated with manufacturing operations and new product introductions.
- Chair HAZOPs, risk assessments and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs), ensuring actions are effectively implemented.
- Develop and enhance emergency response, business continuity and process safety management systems.
- Support Management of Change (MOC), investigations and process safety improvement initiatives across the site.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations and EHS teams to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and industry process safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas or other process manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, LOPA, ATEX and major hazard risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to influence across cross-functional team
