Founded by Dr. Mark Barrett and Prof. Brian Glennon in 2011, APC, which describes itself as a ‘medicines accelerator’, announced earlier this year that they are investing €25M and creating 120 jobs through the formation of a ‘Global Centre of Excellence for Vaccine and Advanced Therapeutic Research and Manufacturing’. The expansion of the laboratory space at the company’s existing site in Cherrywood is already underway and the expanded operation will support the acceleration of research into Covid-19 and other advanced therapeutics.
